hippo cereal bowl
This Cereal Bowl is the perfect size for a bowl of cereal, yogurt, ice cream, rice or soup.
It is made by hand on the pottery wheel, I then add the drawings into the clay with an inlay technique. After that, I add the color and apply glaze to the inside of the piece and to the drawings. I leave bare clay in the negative space which gives each piece a lovely tactile quality.
The same amount of clay is always used, but since it is uniquely handmade the size varies a little from piece to piece.
