Peony Vase
This unique Peony Vase will easily brighten up any space with or without flowers.
It is handmade on the pottery wheel, with sculpted peony flowers attached. The drawing is then applied using an inlay technique, next I add the color, then apply glaze to the inside, and to the image. Bare clay is left in the negative space which gives it a tactile quality.
The same amount of clay is always used, but since it is handmade the size varies a little from piece to piece.
Approximate Dimensions: 10” x7 ” x 6”
Made from cone 6 oxidation fired porcelain.
